Of Little Things Learned

Little bits of “I did it, Mama!”
Miniature mountains scaled and won.
Childish steps into land yet not taken…
With hesitant fear…
Then jubilant song!
Carefully, courageously,
Eyes bright and cheeks flashing
Toes stubbed and feet stumbling
Brow furrowing they try…
How they try and they try!
And I?
Cheering and Coaxing,
I stretch out my fingers..
Beckoning them on
Just a little bit more…
Hang on, hang on,
Just a little bit longer ~
Just a little bit deeper ~
Just a little bit further ~
Than you’ve gone before!
My heart full of beating,
My arms lifted upward,
I glimpse of the Father,
And hear His refrain
In my voice as it echoes
In a gap quickly closing
‘Til at last on the summit
The flag’s flying high!
And little hinds’ feet
On the highest of places
Tread on the fear
And the failure flown!
And we clap and we cheer
And our praises are golden!
And we know that we never
Triumph alone!

He did it! He finally did it!
My children, they learn from their Papa.
He, with little to no experience, finally finished this blog for me.
And it is perfect.
Thank you, Seth, for enduring all my “eww, I don’t like that”s
And designing this made to order blog for your hard to please wife.
I do love you! I do! I do!

LOVE LOVE your new space. You’ve been added to my Favorites, and I will be back often. Do I detect Emile Pandolfi??! Near the Cross sounds like his compositions.

You are so right, Hav…It is *perfect*! Amazing job, Seth. Watch out world, here comes the next McMama or Bring the Rain:)
Oh Hav, I love you– and this is so you! Made me sentimental and weepy. Touches of beauty such as I have not seen for a good while. Thank you for reminding me that life is full of beautiful moments.
Havilah Kay! News travels fast about your blog – I LOVE it and you! I’ve missed you friend! Send me your e-mail again when you have a minute (yeah right) Our computer seems to have lost it AGAIN. In all of this blogging world this untechical savvy girl has never left a comment before – we’ll see if I can figure it out……Good night my dear!
Hav – leave it to you…….this is darling. I’m so excited to get to read about the Angle’s hectic, creative, God-centered life!
Took a mini vacation to your blog today, as yesterday I only had time to give it a quick once-over. I don’t know if it’s the music, beautiful pictures or what, but I am immediately transported to civilization. Which, once in awhile, is not a bad thing.
For a few whiles the odor of recent visitors, the continual dampness in the under cabinet cupboards, the plugged toilet, etc. were far away, and I had Haggan Daaz for the senses. (So–my Haagan Daaz days are actually NOT over!) Also visited several links. Wow! Spiffy and dressed up women. It is a good motivator to actually change my clothes (maybe tomorrow) and do something nice with my hair….Earth Mama in rehab!!! I will be back when things get desperate.
Havilah, this is beautiful! You and Seth have done a great job. I’ll be back very often. I also love the links you’ve included. God bless you very much, sister.
