It was cold.  The sun was off warming some other far away place where the scowling clouds were not so much in a temper.  But we were looking up.

The wind, without being tamed and chastened by the gentle touch of the sun, was spiteful and disagreeable.  But, unfazed, we kept looking up.

And then the sky began to spit at us…tiny smacking droplets each carrying a little insult.

But, undeterred, we opened our umbrellas and kept looking up.

And I wondered to myself…why don’t I keep my gaze always on the heavens watching for the amazing display of power that cannot be stopped by the rain?

Another little thing learned….

thank you, Peter, for giving us the illustration that when we look at the display of power in Jesus’ face, we don’t even have to watch where we’re walking. He makes straight our paths.
